Janet bakes out of her kitchen in Jersey City / Hoboken, NJ. She studied literature, philosophy, and foreign languages in college, but shortly after graduating, moved to Seattle to blow glass. After two years of quickly learning the medium and even attending Pilchuck Glass School, she moved back home to New York. There she met her husband Bob Gourley - web guru, author of the pioneering Chaos Control Digizine, cake consultant, and the sweetest fan of her cakes.
