I was in France recently and on Sunday morning, while I was sipping a cappucino at a sidewalk cafe in Montmartre, I saw French families passing by, carrying pretty pink bakery boxes tied up with scarlet ribbon. They looked like cake boxes but shorter. So I scavenged around the neighborhood and finally found the shop that has these boxes. And voila! They sold the most beautiful sweet and savory tarts/quiches. Unfortunately, by the time I made my way there, I was filled to the gills with strong coffee and delicious pastries from other joints...
